Rather than the blare of a horn, vehicles would send an alert directly to nearby cars, showing a visual cue on their dashboards or heads-up displays. No more noise pollution, no more startling sounds — just a calm, effective way to get another driver’s attention. Here’s a deeper look into how this system could work and the potential benefits.

How It Would Work
In this system, each vehicle would be equipped with sensors and a silent alert feature that communicates directly with nearby vehicles. When a driver presses the “horn” button, instead of a loud sound, the signal would be transmitted to cars within a certain range. Other vehicles would receive an alert on their dashboard or a light cue on their mirrors, letting drivers know someone is trying to get their attention.
